Sermoni Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 19, 2026
1. Who We Are
Sermoni is a product of Healthy Church Systems, a DBA of Christianpreneur Holdings Company ("Sermoni," "we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you use Sermoni.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account Information
When you create a Sermoni account, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored in encrypted/hashed form, never in plain text).
2.2 Ministry Profile Information
To personalize your experience, Sermoni asks you to provide information about your ministry context, including your denomination, doctrinal distinctives, and preaching style or preferences. This information helps Sermoni tailor its collaboration to your specific tradition and voice.
We recognize that religious and denominational information can be sensitive. We collect it only to the extent necessary to serve you and do not use it for any purpose beyond providing and improving the Sermoni experience for you specifically.
2.3 Sermon and Teaching Content
When you use Sermoni to prepare sermons, lessons, or other teaching content, we store that content, including outlines, manuscripts, notes, illustrations, and related material, in our database (hosted via our infrastructure provider, Supabase) so that you can access, edit, and reuse it through your Teaching Library.
This content is not manually reviewed by Sermoni staff as a matter of course. However, because it resides on our servers, it is "stored" data for purposes of this policy, and portions of it are processed by our AI service provider (see Section 3) in order to power the collaborative features of the product.
2.4 Payment Information
Sermoni uses Stripe to process subscription payments. We do not store your full credit card number or other sensitive payment credentials on our own servers. Stripe's handling of your payment information is governed by Stripe's own privacy policy.
2.5 Usage and Technical Information
We may collect standard technical information such as log data, device/browser type, and general usage patterns to maintain and improve the service and to detect and address errors or abuse.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Sermoni service
- Personalize Sermoni's collaboration to your ministry context and preaching style
- Process payments and manage your subscription
- Send transactional communications (account confirmations, receipts, product updates you've opted into)
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve the reliability and security of the service
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information, ministry profile data, or sermon content to third parties. We do not use your sermon content or ministry information to train AI models beyond what is necessary to generate your own responses in your own sessions, and we do not share your content with other users.
4. Third-Party Service Providers
Sermoni relies on the following third-party service providers to operate. Each processes a limited scope of data as necessary to provide their specific service to us:
| Provider | Purpose | Data Involved |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Database hosting and backend infrastructure | Account info, ministry profile, sermon/teaching content |
| Anthropic (Claude API) | Powers the AI collaboration features within Sermoni | Sermon-related content you submit during active sessions, processed to generate responses |
| Stripe | Payment processing | Payment and billing information |
| Resend | Transactional email delivery | Name and email address |
We do not use any other third-party processors beyond those listed above as of the date of this policy. If that changes, we will update this policy accordingly.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account information and sermon/teaching content for as long as your account remains active, so that your Teaching Library remains available to you. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal information and content from active systems within 30 days, except where we are required to retain certain records (such as payment/billing records) for legal, tax, or accounting purposes. Residual copies may briefly persist in routine backups during that window and will be purged on our normal backup rotation schedule.
6. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold about you. You can request any of these by contacting us at support@healthychurch.systems.
You may also delete individual sermons, lessons, or ministry profile information directly within your Sermoni account at any time.
7. Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and reliance on infrastructure providers (Supabase, Stripe) that maintain their own industry-standard security practices. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children's Privacy
Sermoni is intended for use by adult ministry leaders and is not directed at, or knowingly collecting information from, children under the age of 13 (or the relevant minimum age in your jurisdiction).
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through a notice within the app before the changes take effect.
